What is the difference between a Sony and canon xl1 XL2?
I wanted to buy a Canon XL2, but someone told me to get a Sony xl1. Also of the body design, what are the differences and what is best?
I'm pretty sure that there is "Sony XL1." the canon XL1 was one of the first base Shoulder miniDV tapes, standard definition, pro-level camcorders – which was replaced by the Canon XL2. Both cameras are very well for what they are. For similar $, I'd suggest the Canon XHA1, Sony HDR-FX1000 and HVR-Z5. 24p high definition and standard-def XL cameras do not have. Unless there is a application of interchangeable lenses – in this case, the XL2 is concerned. The Canon XHA1, Sony HDR-FX1000, HVR-Z5 and Sony can add wide-angle, telephoto, macro and telephoto lenses, but have not "slow" as characteristic of the XL2 …
